When coming to UHD at first my expectations were low. Most of my close friends are attending the main campus which made me feel lonely in most of my classes. After a while though, I familiarized myself with the campus and soon it was easy to make new friends. Overall I am fairly satisfied with my experience so far.
When I was told at my freshman orientation that all freshmen had to take, a required course called a freshman seminar, I was annoyed. I first thought this course was going to be useless because it was something I had to take which would help me work towards my major. I was reassured from my counselor that when I transfer to main campus, my credit from that class will count, also this class helped me in other ways I didn't know it would. My friend and I wanted to make an app that required several background pictures, but we don't know where to find ones that wasn't copyrighted. Using what we learned from that class we found out creative commons had a wide variety of pictures up for grabs.
The best thing about this course is that it's simple. Things were straight forward; the lectures were easy to follow, and the teacher was experience and best of all not boring. Other than that, the only thing I would like to say was that it might have been too easy. If UHD decides to keep this course, I think they might have to push us harder and sometimes just don't put a computer in front of us.
